Fuel Contamination & Flush
Not every fuel issue is a straightforward misfuelling. Water ingress, old or degraded fuel, and contaminated forecourt fuel can all cause similar symptoms. Whatever's in the tank, we can drain and flush the system so you're not left stranded.
Signs to look out for
- Engine misfires or runs unevenly
- Reduced power or poor fuel economy
- Engine warning light after refuelling
What we do
- Drain and inspect the contaminated fuel
- Flush the tank, lines and filter
- Refill with clean fuel
- Run a start check before we leave
Important: if you haven't started the engine, leave it off and call us. The risk of damage is low. If you have started it or driven the car, turn the engine off as soon as it's safe and get in touch; a more thorough flush will be needed.
